Selectman and runner Spencer Booker
Spencer Booker, Aquinnah Town Selectman, is challenging his island-wide colleagues to run the Gay Head 10K on Sunday, October 4th.
“If I can do it, they can too,” Mr. Booker said. “If they decide not to run, they need to tell me why.”
Here are a few acceptable excuses for not running:
- I have to wash my hair
- It’s low tide
- It’s high tide
- I have to go to America
- I might break a nail
Mr. Booker is not heartless. “If you can’t come up with a good excuse, click here to register! It’s OK to designate someone else to run in your place, of course.”
